Courtney Lenkart - Trainer

Courtney Lenkart, a young entrepreneur originally from the Dallas/Fort Worth area, established her own Hunter Jumper barn (CSC Farm) in 2007. This experience launched Courtney into dedicating her life to the equestrian world and allowed her to grow into a world-class rider, trainer, and barn operator.Courtney’s ability to execute flawless and effortless jumping rounds has positioned her as one of the top hunter riders in the industry. She has won numerous International Hunter Derbies aboard a variety of horses; along with top 12 finishes at the most prestigious Hunter final of the season, Derby Finals. Courtney also has a proven talent for bringing along young, green horses; shown by multiple top 10 placings at the USHJA Green Incentive Finals. As the clientele expanded from her first business, Courtney and Scott established South Haven Farm in 2015.

Lifetime Awards:

  • Currently ranked in the top 20 of the USHJA National Hunter Rider money Earned standings, having won over $1.5 million in lifetime earnings.

  • Currently ranked in the top 15 of the USHJA International Hunter Derby money earned standings, having won over $200,000.

  • Currently ranked in the top 15 of the USHJA National Green Incentive money earned standings, with earnings totaling over $70,000.

Scott Lenkart - Trainer

Scott Lenkart, co-owner of South Haven Farm, began his riding career at ten years old in Chicago, Illinois. He started riding ponies on his family farm and later began competing at local hunter/jumper shows. Scott continued his equestrian journey working and training with several well-respected professionals in the business. He established an impressive reputation for himself in the jumper ring, with over 45 Grand Prix victories to his name. While Scott’s jumper techniques of precision and speed are remarkable, his skills in the hunter arena are just as impeccable. Scott is a proven developer of young, green horses and has competed in numerous USHJA pre-green incentives and Young Jumper Championships (YJC). In addition Scott coaches all levels of riders, which included the honor of being the NAYC Young Rider Chef d’Equipe for several years.

Lizzie Ekong - Trainer

In 2017, Lizzie Ekong joined the South Haven team, as a barn manager and assistant trainer. Originally, Lizzie grew up riding in Park City, Utah, where she was trained in dressage, three-day eventing, and hunter/jumper. Lizzie was responsible for running an entire riding school program in California, all while attending Santa Clara University and receiving a B.S. in Neuro Physiology with an emphasis in Adolescent Development and a B.A. in Studio Art.

Following graduation, Lizzie went on to further her Hunter/Jumper career, leading her to be highly competitive in every division from the young hunters to Grand Prix's. Her passion for horses and years’ worth of equestrian knowledge has led Lizzie to become a valued member of the SHF team.
